In addition, these beneficial bacteria help in maintaining the skin hydrated by producing substances that retain moisture and prevent excessive dryness. This process promotes the natural skin barrier function. Another important role of these beneficial bacteria is to inhibit the growth of harmful pathogens, such as bacteria that can cause infections. By doing so, they help to maintain a healthy and balanced skin microbiome, which is essential for preventing skin diseases and promoting skin health.
