*I am publishing this much later than the event. I'm deeply saddened by Steve's death, 10 years ago. Was a role model for me and millions of others. This is not intended to criticise or offend anyone, in particular, it's my personal opinion.
We started iPhone App development on 11th July 2008 when Apple launched Apple iPhone OS 2.0, Its SDK and the App Store. Coming from a deep MSFT background (a funny one - I kept running Outlook in a VM on my MacBook Pro for 1 Year ?? )

Lot's of them. Where do I start! Focusing on Benefits rather than Features
'1000 songs in your pocket.'
Rather than X MB of Storage or any other feature/specs.
For me, the G.O.A.T Keynote was the iPhone Launch . Brilliant! Again, benefits and how he delivered.
iCloud Launch after the mobile.me fiasco in WWDC 2011. , I was present in Moscone Centre, San Francisco, last public appearance of Steve Jobs
Revolutionary Products/Services are generally once in decades. Jobs had the distinction of many.
Apple is a great company, Tim is a great CEO. I believe Apple is losing it a bit...
Phill Schiller on Launch of now discontinued Mac Pro "Can't innovate anymore, my ass!" WWDC 2013. A rare blip in his sterling career.Everything now about features, screen sizes, cameras, Megapixels, Nits. Too many features, 90% of folks don't use! (Remember MSFT Word). Too many apps. Ask a user how many apps they installed in their iPhones and how many they used in the past 3 months. Surprise, Surprise! :-)
App Store Review guidelines have grown from 2-3 pages to the likes of the US/India Tax Code!
That's why with our experience of over 5,000+ apps over the years, we have an internal Do/Do Not checklist to ensure apps are not rejected. We have a 99% success rate of approval

Yet, on the Software and DevTools side, it has kept innovating.
Make no mistake, System Software, Architecture, Not Consumer Apps. Remember Ping :-) and iTunes Bloat. Apple has innovated. ARC was the best thing to happen to devs, Autolayout, Swift, and much more. Xcode Cloud...not enough data points yet.
Google is still struggling with AFA
Developers will benefit, from AFA due to rampant OS, Device, Screen size fragmentation. Unfortunate, too little too late. The horses have already bolted. Apple approach of a well planned OS Architecture, from Day 1, NextStep OS which led to Mac OS X
Rosetta Stone made it an easier transition to Intel-based Macs.
Rosetta Stone 2 simplified the transition from Intel processors to ARM-based Apple Silicon.
However, full benefits on M1 and successors will result from Native porting for Apple Silicon. Many companies are still behind the curve.
That's why, we focus on a time and technology agnostic, scalable, robust architecture which AWS calls 'Well Architected'
If you are one of us, on the combined Apple ecosystem, it makes life much simpler and easier!
In the future, Apple will benefit and generate a higher margin, revenue from services. Services will keep improving its Revenue Share faster, than other Apple ecosystem components.
