The Good, The Bad, & The Lasting Impression
I noticed the other day as I walked around the grocery store. My mind and my eyes do not see people as the equals as I had always thought. I felt myself looking at people. Watching their behavior, how they were dressed, their individual mannerisms. I noticed their hair if it was combed or not. And I begin to see smaller details such as if their fingernails; were they cut or if their shoelaces were tied. I started to tell myself stories based on their physical appearance. At first, they were simple stories, like the assumption of how lazy they were. I would say to myself did they even look in the mirror before they walked out the door.
I was judging everyone!
I don't want to lie to you, and can't believe that I'm writing this because I'm part of this company. However I realized, if I do that (judge others) then I am going to guess that other people think the same way......
So what does all that mean?
It means that our eyes allow first impressions to be present and to be harsh within our the judgmental behavior.
This applies to our online presence as well, with people's judgment being made by how we carry and present ourselves online.
To successfully marry your digital image with that of your physical we must step outside of ourselves for just a moment look at our brand and see how others see us.
Or you can just wait for me at the grocery store.
