Gone With the Wind
Every brand you see has at least three ideas that do not come into existence other than for their creator. It happens to all designers. Cassandre, who is for me the best poster designer in history, only had about twenty of his ideas printed, the rest were considered to be “too many”.
Those other designs, the “noes”, are like Pirandello's work “Six Characters in Search of an Author”. In our case, brands looking for someone they can represent.
Those unused designs sometimes mutate and come to live in other souls. This is the case of a proposal created by Anton Stankowski and Karl Duschek, which was not approved for a fair, and eventually became the current logo for 德意志银行 . Sometimes they inspire us to create other logos, and one thanks them for being "our inspiration", a kind of consolation prize.?
But those designs that were not used are still there waving at us when we go through old files, trying to get our attention.
I will show you three of these “noes” which I love very much, and which are still looking for their opportunity:

To all of them, thank you!
