Gone Phishing..........

Gone Phishing..........

UK businesses face increased number of phishing attacks in 2016.

More attacks are focused on companies in the UK than any other country &
UK businesses are the most targeted by phishing attacks across the entire world, new research has found.

So successful have phishing attacks become, they now represent a popular tool in the kit-bag of the cyber-criminal, and are in regular and daily use. The real question this poses is just how does an organisation defend its perimeters and users, and above all, protect its assets!

But do your employees know how to spot the signs or could they be exposing your organisation to an attack?

Understanding your organisation’s susceptibility and the robustness of your countermeasures should be a priority.

NCC Group’s Piranha phishing simulation helps you to understand your risk of exposure by testing your awareness, susceptibility and response to a phishing attack.

I think the term phishing is actually very apt, because sometime it takes a sprat to catch a mackerel. In large IT organisations, most staff think they are able to spot that phishing email, but by targeting staff who are maybe not so IT literate or more occasional users, that's where you can get in and then work your way up the food chain. Ensuring that all staff have a basic awareness of IT security from top to bottom is now more important than ever.
