Golfers: Ever Exaggerated Something to Accelerate the Process?

Many of you won't know Australian golfer Mark Hensby. Mark has won on all the main Tours, played President's Cup, had a 5th at the Masters and 3rd in the US Open and got to 27th in the Official World Ranking. He's the real deal.

Recently Mark became a customer of mine. We actually met in 2005 in Portugal when he represented Australia with Peter Lonard in the WGC World Cup, but other than the odd text message and a few Facebook comments and likes we hadn't spoken though I'd kept an eye on his career and was always impressed with how he'd dealt with some of the challenges he's had. He always tackled these face on and either won or moved on and I can relate to that.

Just a few weeks ago he kindly sent me a fascinating video of himself in his garage in Scottsdale, Arizona explaining how he uses PlaneSWING in his work out and how he exaggerates a movement to facilitate and accelerate change. Golf instructors often refer to this as the difference between "feel and real".

Most recently there's been much golf media hype, some quite critical and I believe borne of ignorance rather than knowledge, about Major Winner and Olympic Golf Medallist Justin Rose doing an exaggerated motion before each shot. Some people may remember PGA Tour veteran and Major Winner Corey Pavin having a similar pre-shot routine and you'll see similar drills in tennis.

Golf is a simple game, made complicated. A multitude of positions captured in one fluid movement. What Mark is doing in the video is honing those feelings within the protection of the PlaneSWING circle knowing that when he steps out to swing or hit balls, that the movement he is looking to create can be repeated.

We all use tools in whatever business we're in. In the business of golf instruction and learning, it's about getting people to understand how the body works in relation to the golf swing. Nothing achieves this quicker than FEEL.

Already a winner on the PGA Tour, European Tour and Korn Ferry Tour, Mark is now preparing himself for the Champions (Seniors) Tour in the USA in less than two years.

He'll win the first 6 Tournaments he plays in, but then maybe I'm exaggerating!

Hey tony I purchased my Plane Swing about 4 years ago. You took my order, we had a pleasant conversation. I live in Fort Washington, Maryland. I would love be a sales Representative for Plane Swing just a thought.
