Every cycle has phases, similarly when it comes to your business / position / team; these phases have crucial milestones and goals.
Likewise, your team goes through different phases, may it be a career phase or project phase. In fact, these phases have deep impact, on individual level as well as group level. The business rule states, a company is as good as its employees.
Phases & Goals
The very same rule is valid on team level as team leader is responsible not just form him / her task but also for the tasks assigned to the team members.
Future Opportunities
Now for one second, think of a promotion, this time think about your promotion and try to answer the following questions:
Not only this, a true leaders's conscience will put up another question

Combining the two halves of a coin
Now coming back to what we started off with in this article.
Try making a link between these two points we discusses so far.
Now join these two points together
1. Outcomes of a phase within a lifecycle
2. Future opportunities
Yes! A leader is not just responsible for one phase, he / she has to manage the whole lifecycle of the project / product; considering the role of a SCRUM Master for example.
Crux of Story
As a leader, it is your duty to make sure you help your team manage and deliver the product on within scheduled timeline. In simple words, you have to achieve target(s) within a specific period of time. Right?
Now as a leader, what if you could help your team grow and prepare themselves for the future?
What if you could hit two targets in one go?
Yes! you can help your team achieve the goals of a project or Sprint but also help them achieve their personal targets.
It is possible?
The Golden Rule of Evolution
More precisely, the golden rule of digital evolution. If you travel back a few years, you will realise that most of the technological advancements were just a myth. Today they are living realities of life.
Adapt ========> TransForm ========> Lead
You have to not only adapt but also think of possibilities on how you can help your team improve by adapting new methods, techniques to help you deliver and achieve goals as a team.
The TransFormation phase is not always how you planned thats why it is written as TransFormation instead of Transformation.
Once you are done with adaptation, and have transformed you and your team;
You are now ready to lead, not only this but you are a group of leaders now.
You not only helped your team achieve goals of project / product but also you were a proud leader to made it possible to mentor a team of leaders ready for taking on the future challenges.
