Golden Gate Bridge.

Golden Gate Bridge.

Named after the Golden Gate Strait, which is the water entrance to the Pacific from San Francisco, the bridge is one the seven wonders of the modern world.  It opened in 1937 after four years of treacherous construction that cost the lives of eleven workers.  The twin towers anchoring a single suspension rises up a staggering 746, taller than any building in the area at that time.  The orange marvel is even visible in the frequent heavy fog making it the most famous bridge in the world.   This is a must see for your future travel dreams!
