?? Gold Female Executive of the Year for Business Services! ??
I am thrilled to share the exciting news that I was honored with the Gold Female Executive of the Year for Business Services award for my company, AMP Solutions LLC, at the prestigious 2023 Stevie Awards for Women in Business hosted in the heart of New York City. This recognition is a testament to our work in AI Ethics, Trust, and Safety consulting—a field that I am deeply passionate about.
Surrounded by extraordinary talent at every turn, the event left me profoundly inspired. To my right was an adventurer from London, a fearless leader who has summited Mount Everest who now focuses on supporting female wildlife rangers protecting elephants from poachers. On the other side, a vet leveraging AI to reduce the number of animals harmed during clinical trials, ensuring new drugs reach the market more responsibly. At the same table, a visionary increasing sports access for women in the Middle East. Their impactful stories unfolded, leaving me in awe of the legacy they are creating, both in large companies and small ventures.
The spectrum of brilliance extended from podcasting companies amplifying women’s voices to the CRO of Equifax and women applying AI to revolutionize eye exams, identifying and treating over 50 neurological conditions. A United Nations diplomat's homemade mochi gummies, honoring her Japanese ancestry, will now grace the shelves Whole Foods Market and expand into Costco Wholesale , 塔吉特百货 , and 沃尔玛 in 2024. The room was alive with stories of audacious women, from Australia to Indonesia honored for their bravery, to a Canadian entrepreneur who has created genetically engineered plants or sustainable air purification, and she is envisioning rooftop gardens on every building for a carbon-neutral footprint.
Reflecting further, visiting the WTC memorial and Statue of Liberty stirred deep reflections on the sliding door moments that led me to this day. The image of my grandmother arriving at that very spot as a stateless refugee after WWII lingered in my thoughts. Being in NYC for Veterans Day at the 9/11 memorial, I pondered the sacrifices made to protect our freedom. Additionally, supporting a friend through a health crisis and realizing that just six months ago, I wouldn't have been able to make this journey alone—a profound testament to life's resilience.
In the quiet moments that follow these experiences, gratitude fills my heart. Despite setbacks, dreams have come true, and I've found my tribe.
With gratitude and reflections,
Lisa

I saw Lisa promote her book on a web session about trust and safety, where she has been most impactful throughout her professional life. But with this book and her personal stories she gave her audience an insight in how to build resilience and keep close to yourself in every step of your professional journey (regardless the industry). Don't let anyone stop or get trapped in less inspiring work environments. It is okay to move on, and walk away from that, and ask for promotions. You must do what you love and be your best version of yourself. FIND IT. I could go on and on... because you get her perspective and she is able to phrase it just right. I read most of the book in two days (yes while on the beach in Lake Tahoe)... and actually want to read it again. Love from a Lisa fan, who I felt instantly I became friends with.
