Howzit guys!

This week has been very busy as we juggle school sports, the shop and me doing lots of groundwork trying to get some traction with our POD business called Podtec. My partner and I have been connection with lots of people this week regarding our moveable pods and we have had quite a few positive sessions with various key role players.

We also realised that in order to get more traction with our business we need to build our own POD for people to see the product and better understand why it is so amazing!

Our POD’s are completely moveable and get constructed inside a factory before getting hoisted onto a flatbed truck and taken to site. The POD is then removed from the truck and positioned on the site without any damage to the site itself. The POD is deemed to be a temporary structure as it can easily be removed and does not require any services. The POD is completely self-sufficient, complete with its own water and power supplies.

I had a lightbulb moment when I realised that my Gordon’s Bay site was the perfect place for us to test this new concept. The views are amazing, and the temporary nature of the POD would be the perfect solution as well as providing us with the perfect marketing tool!

I am busy designing this Gordon’s Bay POD (G-BAY POD) as we speak, and we hope to start building it within the next month! The POD will be a perfect opportunity for us to do the necessary research and development before taking it to market.

We will also use it for events to help showcase the POD as well as its many suppliers that will help contribute to its success!

I have also decided to add a bit more structure to my blogs and will include a weekly gratitude moment that will remind me that there is always a lot to be grateful for…

This week I am grateful for being able to sit up late during the week and watch my favourite football team with my son! I have always been a passionate supporter of Manchester United, and my son has also developed a passion for them too! I think putting him in a football jersey at the age of 6 months might have had something to do with it!!

So, this week we both sat up to watch them at 10pm on Thursday and afterwards I thought just how cool it is to have someone to watch these games with me and share our love and passion for the team!

My absolute dream is to take him to Old Trafford stadium in Manchester, England to watch a game together!! ?

My daughter’s achievements at athletics this past week has been amazing! She won her inter-house events, coming in first place for long jump and the 100m and 150m sprints. This qualified her for this weekends inter-schools event held at Strand High School. She blew us away by finishing in first place for the long jump and now qualifies for the Boland district competition. She also managed to finish in third place in the 150m race and could still be in with a small chance to attend the district competition as well!

I am super proud of her, especially her quiet determination and focus on the challenge at hand. She is naturally talented and has the beautiful ability of staying very humble and zoning in on her goals.

On top of this she is also an incredibly good swimmer and will also be competing in quite a few galas coming up in the next few weeks.

This week, I was listening to the radio the other morning and Darren ‘whackhead’ Simpson was talking to a 15-year-old You-Tuber and they were discussing how much money he makes from all his videos. Its insane just how much he makes but it got me thinking that I need to take my ‘Joe.blogs’ blog to the next level!

I am thinking of going viral!

No masks needed but I am thinking about doing some Joe.blogs videos that I can share via my You Tube account (Joe.bloggs). They will be based on my current written blogs and aim to reach more people and deliver my messages in a very different way! I do not think they will come out weekly in the beginning but let us see how it goes…

My son is very active on Tik Tok and You Tube doing video edits and I am thinking of involving him as my video editor!

So, be on the lookout for my v-blog [vlog] launching soon!

This week has been positive for me, and I hope to continue with this momentum!
