Going Solo

Going Solo

I was recently interviewed on the podcast,?GOING SOLO: Building Your Own Successful Business After a Late Career Job Loss.?In it, host David Shriner-Cahn and I discussed how COVID has set the stage for the majority of people to “go solo” in their own ways. These are some of the key factors we discussed:

  • Employees are working from home, creating their own schedules, and deciding when they’d like to go into the office.?
  • Going solo is a mindset. Each of us is responsible for our destiny, and for continuing to improve the value we bring to our work. This applies to both employees?and?employers.
  • As employers, it is our responsibility to build a working partnership with employees and service providers. The goal should be a mutual understanding of how everyone will work and whatever the expectations may be.

Respect, collaboration, and communication: these are the three main drivers for post-COVID success.

Let your passion guide what you do, and let people understand your passion and the excellence that derives from it. This will allow, and inspire,?people to use your passion to fuel their own endeavors.?

Listen to host David Shriner-Cahn and me discuss how to launch your second act.
