Going on a Social Sabbatical with SAP

Privilege - a term with numerous connotations that is often used in speeches to express a feeling of gratitude.

I've felt that gratitude in the last few weeks since I was informed that I've been granted the true privilege of being able to join SAP's Social Sabbatical program for 4 weeks in October and November 2022. Together with 11 colleagues from around the globe, I will travel to Bangkok, Thailand, and - in a small team of 3 - work with a local non-profit organization on solving their most pressing issues.

I'll be joined by Cristina Ricaurte Castilla ? and Zvone M. , and we'll support Kenan Foundation Asia on digitalization topics to further strengthen Kenan's mission of 'inspiring students, developing skilled people, and growing strong leaders'.

We're in the middle of our prep meetings with SAP's CSR team ( Hemang Desai , Julia Donovan and Heidi Koll Pio ), Pyxera Global, and the local organizations. It's been really helpful to get detailed information in our weekly sync on focus areas to reflect on (in particular our individual cultural behaviours), getting to know the other colleagues on many different levels, and clarifying logistics.

I look forward to meeting on site with Farirai Mubvuma , Luciano R. , Klara Hayek , Geraldine B. , Harsha Bhat , Holger Kuhn , Lívia Silveira Netto Pommerening , Prasanthi Thatavarthy , Lautaro Spotorno - and Crispian Tan and Nannaphas Rungrueng.
