Going to Performance Days, why?
Anders B?gelund Holst
Commercial Development Manager - JBS Textile Group A/S
This week, our department - Private Label by JBS Textile Group will go to the Performance Days fair in Munich.
This fair is quite important for our Private Label department, because within sourcing from Europe and also outside of Europe, this fair is the sustainable sourcing fair for functional fabrics & accessories.
Over 383 major international manufacturers from?over?34 countries come to present their materials for apparel collections. By going to Performance Days, we get the chance to meet the suppliers personally, feel the fabrics and do our own assessment of the latest fabrics of tomorrow.
This is where the latest developments and newest innovations covering all components of the layering system, from baselayer to 3-layer materials, from outer midlayers to lightweights, plus all kinds of accessories are presented.
In Private Label by JBS Textile Group, we strive and aim to be your key partner and we want to be in the forefront of the latest innovations, we want to inspire, motivate, excite and enlighten you of the textiles of tomorrow. We are curious about what's the latest news, and about what can we expect of the future threads and fabrics.
That is why we travel to Performance Days, as we are your key partner to bring the newest information and innovations to the table in your product developments, and to inspire and inform you of what the future bring us, and how this can be used in your plannings of your Private Label production.
The Journey of Carbon Neutrality
Each year, Performance Days has a new 'Focus Topic', which is the agenda and focus of the fair. This year the Focus Topic is continuing with "The Journey of Carbon Neutrality" - what and how is the sustainable impact of the value-chains, and what can we do to become more carbon neutral in the process of textile production?
For us to gather more know-how and knowledge about this important topic, we will be attending a lot of the fairs expert talks of invited influential keynote experts of the industry.
In a few months time, stay tuned for the next newsletter thread from Private Label by JBS Textile Group, where we will focus on all the key takeaways we can bring home from Performance Days!

1 年Anders: thank you for praising what you like about PERFORMANCE DAYS. It is always good to see the difference between the message that PD emit & what sticks best with our visitors ?? The theme of this week's show is slightly more than you have highlighted: Evolution & Revolution: From Membranes to the Carbon Story. Some extra areas alongside the Fabric Forum, the Presentation Stage, the Sustainability Lounge, & the Media area - now there is Footwear (with Supply Chain exhibitors), as well as an Innovation Hub (the best of which will present in Pecha Kucha format after lunch on Day 2). Hope that us two get to chat at the party at the end of Day 1; there is a Gin Bar now (alongside the beer)!
