"Going Green" is a thing, and it's a good thing. Saving paper and reducing waste, while decreasing your environmental footprint is a great practice for us all, at home and especially in the office!
I wrote a post earlier in the year all about how using an online software, like Regpack, as an alternative to a paper or manual process actually saves you money, even though you pay a cost for the software. There is a great analysis of the cost of buying, printing and storing paper among other things that make the case.
However, that post didn't really look at the environmental cost of using paper, so I started digging up some facts. Did you know that of all the waste that a business produces, paper waste is 50% of that?! Or did you know that 12.1 TRILLION sheets of paper are used by US offices every year? Shocking!
