Going independent: 5 Questions to ask yourself
Going independent is as much a strategy as it is a mindset.
One of the biggest challenges when you’re trying to go independent is that it will require you to think differently about yourself, your skills, and the market.
You will get really good at answering these 5 questions:
It’s easy to avoid questions like this.
They may feel out of your control or nearly impossible to answer.
But the more you practice, the better you’ll get.
It’s about learning to trust your skillset / expertise, talk to others about it, and identify immediate next steps from exactly where you are.
Having an entrepreneurial mindset is about breaking out of perfectionism and analysis paralysis.
It’s about setting targets and getting into action QUICKLY rather than delaying, avoiding, or overcomplicating the situation.
Action always trumps analysis when you’re first starting out.
This is not an easy skillset to master. But it is absolutely learnable.
It’s what I teach my clients in Clarity in the Fast Lane.
