Going down memory lane with Gitex in 90’s 

Gitex has been a part of my life journey from a college student to a professional marketeer through these same halls ...It started during my college days with a bus full of students dropped at the World Trade Center to be picked up at 5pm. 

All day we walked around with little cash in our pocket but oversized dreams in our minds for the future. And like us, Gitex has grown from an event spanning two halls of Dubai Exhibition Center to the giant attraction it is today. I even remember Gitex Shopper was a little tent outside the WTC where Jacky’s Electronic was the biggest participant in that tent. 

It is a proud moment for me & many who are living here to witness how tech savvy the UAE has become, and how our cities are becoming among the best & smartest cities in the world. 

During my two years in the ICT sector, I have witnessed a huge shift in service, offerings and the magnitude of strategic projects while working at the IT leader and Mubadalah owned Injazat. And like that first time getting off the bus and walking the halls of Gitex, I am thrilled to be here.
