Going desperate on your job hunt?....DON'T!

Staying calm and patient during a job search is crucial because desperation can lead to poor decision-making, such as accepting unsuitable roles or underestimating your worth. Desperation may also be perceived negatively by employers, affecting their perception of your confidence and capabilities. By remaining composed, you can better assess opportunities, present yourself effectively, and choose roles that align with your career goals and values. This approach increases the likelihood of finding a job that is fulfilling and matches your skills.

We know it, sometimes, take too long. But we need to always be prepared for those moments where our incomes are interrupted due to a lack of employment (being this the mean reason of frustration and desperation during the long unemployment period).

My advice is:

1- As my mom used to say "guarda pan para Mayo", which basically means "always save some money, as you never know what will happen tomorrow"

2- Use part of your savings to generate passive income: Yeah! I know not everyone is in a position to save enough to buy real estate and rent it out but, there are other ways to generate passive income, without having to invest tons!

3- Make your job search you temporary job: Focus 101% on it. Be strategic. Aim to reach out employers of your choice. Prepare a "sales pitch" (yes, you need to sell yourself to your future employer). Study those companies you aim to reach out to (and also the leads you will approach)
