Subscription merchants achieved 45% customer retention after 6 months?

Few metrics are more important than customer churn and retention, especially as competition for consumers’ dollars becomes increasingly fierce with inflation. Our latest industry research found that for subscription merchants, these metrics both improved in 2022 across verticals.

Our State of Subscription Commerce report covers how these merchants saw overall decreases in average monthly churn alongside year-over-year increases in customer retention. On average, these brands retained a whopping 45% of customers after 6 months and 33% after 12 months, with the top vertical achieving 51% annual customer retention.
