Have you seen the game last night? I have. Not a great game technically but had a lot of ups and downs that made it worthwhile. What did I notice from the whole championship:

  • Too many penalty shootouts
  • Goalkeepers have improved tremendously the last few years catching a disproportional number of penalty shots
  • Soccer games have become a platform to support various causes
  • Playing defensively is the prevailing strategy of winning
  • Games on home turf do not guarantee a positive outcome

I suppose in the end, the better team won, albeit a very close match. Well done to both teams for a very fair and clean match, and their sportsmanship.
