GOD'S UNIQUE PLAN FOR FATHERS.

FOUNDATION SCRIPTURE:

"The righteous who walks in his integrity—blessed are his children after him!”.

HOLY SPIRIT, HAVE YOUR WAY.

In God's grand plan for humanity, the role of a father stands as a vital thread. From the very beginning, God established the family unit, and within it, fathers play a unique and irreplaceable role. Let us explore the significance of fathers in God's design, drawing inspiration from Scriptures.

THE FATHER'S LOVE:

"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” 1 John 3:1a.

God's love for us is immeasurable, and He reveals this love through the earthly fathers He places in our lives. A father's love should mirror the heavenly Father's love—a love that sacrifices, protects, and provides. As we experience the love of our earthly fathers, we should catch glimpses of God's unwavering affection for His children.

THE FATHER'S GUIDANCE:

"Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching." Proverbs 1:8.

Father's should serve as guides, imparting wisdom, values, and life lessons. Their words echo the Father's desire to lead us on righteous paths. Just as earthly fathers teach us, our heavenly Father provides divine guidance through His Word—the ultimate instruction manual for life.

THE FATHER'S FORGIVENESS:

"But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him." Luke 15:20b,

The parable of the prodigal son beautifully illustrates God's forgiveness. Like the father in the story, our heavenly Father eagerly awaits our return, ready to embrace us with open arms. Fathers on earth should model this forgiveness, teaching us the power of reconciliation and grace.

THE FATHER'S PROVISION:

"Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?" Matthew 7:9-10

God, our ultimate Provider, cares for our needs. Present earthly fathers, too, should work tirelessly to provide for their families. Whether it's physical sustenance, emotional support, or spiritual nourishment, fathers should reflect God's heart of provision.

Take any song of worship or praise as you are led and glorify God.

"The LORD is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.”
