God's Plan is Best
Many people in America feel God’s restrictions are holding them back. They think they can never achieve personal fulfillment unless having full control. The question arises, wouldn’t life be more fun without Biblical restrictions cramping our lifestyle? This creates the thought, believing and trusting in Christ as our Savior has gained us very little, at least in this life. Maybe we will make it to heaven, but for now it’s a disappointment. These people have been tricked. You see, God has a plan for each of us, and if we follow His plan, He never disappoints. God knows us, loves us, and wants us to have what is best. Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” People tend to drift towards what they think they know is best for their life. They follow their own unwise choices, never thinking to consult God. They wander away from God and live a life burdened with sin and blunders shaped by their conduct and behavior. Proverbs 28:14: “How blessed is the person who fears always, But one who hardens his heart will fall into disaster.” Satan delights if we equate our righteousness with good works and deeds; he wants us to put man’s word over God’s Word. Understand, God gives us Christ’s righteousness as well as qualities of character that transcend human ability. A return to Scripture will be a return to God. A great Biblical truth is no matter who we are or what we’ve done, God will welcome those who sincerely seek His forgiveness. He already knows we have been scarred with sin and all those wrong decisions we’ve made. God doesn’t want us drifting through life without any meaning or purpose. He wants us to become part of His family. Sin separates us from God, repentance sets us right again. Proverbs 28:13: “One who conceals his wrongdoings will not prosper, But one who confesses and abandons them will find compassion.” Only confessing and abandoning known sin allows us to receive God’s mercy. When we admit we need His forgiveness and guidance, Christ grants full forgiveness. Going forward, when we face life decisions, turn them over to God and ask Him to direct us.Isaiah 55:9,11: “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts. [v11] So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it.” God didn’t send His Son to cramp our lifestyle but to give us a much better one. Psalm 40:4: “How blessed is the man who has made the Lord his trust…” If we ask God to show us His plan for our life, He will. God’s plan is best.
