In this episode of the 5 Year Millionaire podcast,? I?explain how faith and making money in the stock market intersect. I share my personal experiences and stories to explain why I believe that God wants people to be wealthy and successful.
A man, a storm, and the signs from God
I tell a story of a man who hears the news that a big storm is coming, who reluctantly refuses to evacuate because he trusts God will keep him safe and protected from harm and danger. Despite several warnings and offers to help from the news report, his neighbor, a helpful man in a row boat, and a helicopter team, he still refuses to leave, assured that God will keep him safe. What happens to the man is no surprise - his house becomes engulfed in water and he drowns. Not exactly the happy ended we expected, but it definitely isn't shock. Met with God in heaven, he asks "why did that happen, I trusted you would protect me." His response: "I gave you multiple signs, yet you chose to ignore them all. The news report, your neighbor, the helpful man, and the helicopter. They were all opportunities."?
Turnings signs into opportunities
This story relates a lot to those who are constantly praying for a chance to better their lives, become a better person for their family, and are constantly asking for financial freedom. I suggest that those who pray for opportunities often get them, but not in the way they expect. It is often given out as signs, and its up to you to take those signs and turn them into opportunities.?

8 个月Well done! I am absolutely a believer and I KNOW God wants His kids to be rich. There's more Scriptures about money than on any other subject in the Bible. One of God's names is Jehovah Jireh: the Lord our Provider. Another of His names is El Shaddai: More than enough. It's a bad witness for Him when believers are broke, and being broke limits believers' abilities to be effective for the Kingdom. I definitely know of which I speak. There's other ways to be an effective witness, but Solomon said, "Money answers all things." He was in a very natural (vs spiritual) place in his life when he said it (and money isn't the answer when the body is sick or when folk cooperate with demonic influence), but it's helpful. The LOVE of money is the root of all evil. God is my singular Source. Everything else is a channel. He uses many channels to provide, and our stewardship of His provision determines how much more provision we can be trusted to manage. God is Source. He uses channels. We're managers. Thank you for this post. I'm not a stock market girl, but you've definitely prompted conviction about the newscast, neighbor, row boat and helicopter in my life. God 100% made sure I saw your podcast this morning. Blessings and shalom!
