God is still talking, and superiorly!!!

It is now official and God has won in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! Malaysian Prime Minister, Najib Razak, announced on early Thursday, August 6, 2015 that the debris found in the French territory of Reunion Island was part of a wing of the Malaysian plane that went missing nearly 17 months ago. The found flaperon, a part of the wing, used for slowing down a plane during landing, is now the evidence that shows that the plane went down in the Indian Ocean.

Some ridiculed: “What good could come from Nigeria, that suffocating crime-laden village country of Africa? And who is he? What is his educational and scientific stature? How can he stay in Nigeria and dream that a plane from Malaysia heading for China can be found plunged into the deep sea of the Indian Ocean southwest of Indonesia?” And still, some scorned, “What has prophecy got to do with this scientific modern world?”

To be fair to the unbeliever, it needs to be noted that scientific experience at the time did not seem to be able to admit Prophet TB Joshua’s assertion that the plane had plunged into “the sea between Indonesia and the Indian Ocean,” as the TB Joshua had described it. The prophet added further on March 15, 2014 that some items from the plane – parts and personal effects – were floating in the sea. Wasn’t it unimaginable? How could the plane go that way several thousands of miles?

The prophet, though with scanty English, tried days and weeks after to be more explicit in his assertion and description of the situation. But the world, now bordering on scientific arrogance and atheism, chose to ignore him. Rather, search efforts strayed over northeast of Malaysia stretching to east of India and half-heartedly offshore in Indonesian.

The jetliner, Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, vanished on March 8, 2014 after leaving Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for Beijing. It had 239 people on board. It vanished with all lives on it! May the bereaved families be comforted and strengthened by the Almighty God. Amen. They have my unceasing condolence for this irretrievable loss.

Why this discourse? Man has become self-satisfied with the scientific knowledge given him/her by God. So we have had to wait for 16 good months to realise that we could have traced and possibly found evidence of the wreckage in the “deep sea between the Indian Ocean and Indonesia” if we had not ignored the prophet’s imploring.

But who is a prophet that the scientific and “realist” man of today cannot accept, believe or even tolerate? A prophet is anyone who can prophesy – whether by the power of God or demons. I will not, here, discuss who a true prophet is, since this is not the point at issue. The fact of the matter is that there have been several, indeed, numerous challenging medical cases beyond human solution and declared hopeless in America, Britain, New Zealand, Australian, Japan, South Korea and Spain – to mention but a few countries, that have been healed within minutes and hours by this same Prophet TB Joshua. And these wonders have remained permanent and beneficiaries have come to testify to the Glory of God years and decades after the events. And he has a track record of spiritually foretelling many world events accurately. If so why was his word so arrogantly ignored? Is knowledge not a revelation – whether revealed in the classroom by a human teacher or revealed by a spiritual being – especially God?

I love science, and I do not only think scientifically but have worked in research and applied situations for over 14 years. But I believe that science, emanating from knowledge, is not in conflict with God. Faulty scriptural writings – getting the history wrong, or twisting it by religious leaders resulted in a number mythologies being preached around as if they were the gospel truths from God. This weakness in faith reporting has disgusted and alienated some individuals from faith in God. Intellectual evangelists need to note this and be bold and point out some of these weaknesses. But we also have a social responsibility to help others know and appreciate the truth about God, Jesus, Holy Spirit and prophecy.

Many great scientists including Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton and Thomas Edison were religious even if not so overtly.   I concede that Charles Darwin wasn’t. And he didn’t have to be. But Darwin was clearly a confused man! And here I am being charitable. For example, in detailing his daughter Henrietta to support him in editing of his thesis DESCENT OF MAN (published in February 24, 1871 by John Murray), he said, “Heaven only knows what you will think of the whole.” One would ask, which heaven was he referring to?

And would you believe that in that work of his he clearly states that the existence of religion was not due to God but natural selection? One may even describe Darwin as dishonest because coming from a family of atheists (grandfather and father), he kept employing expressions as “God bless you,” “I wish to God,” and “God only knows” in his personal letters. Who was Darwin deceiving? But Charles Darwin was an honourable man!

With so much evidence of God’s power complementing and sometimes resolving man’s daunting problems, is it not becoming preposterous and arrogant for science and business to continue shunning God, the source of all knowledge?

Faith people, especially Christians, Hebrews and Moslems, need to work hard together by our exemplary life and not to continue burdening of followers with boring genealogies and mythologies, but help unbelievers to know the fact that Jesus did not put a closure to prophecy and miracles in faith works. Jesus actually commissioned people to continue his work of mentoring, teaching and facilitation of spiritual revelation (prophecy) to the society yet unborn.

Let us assure the scientific community that faith appreciates and encourages science in human development because we know that all scientific knowledge is a revelation from God for good purposes (although sometimes misapplied), and science and faith need not be at cross purposes.
