This week marks my final week in my 40th year. As I reflect on the past year, I will be sharing some of the key lessons I have learned:
Lesson Two: God sends help!
This year, I had goals that I would not have been able to achieve had God not sent me help. One of my goals for the past couple of years was to wake up early to work. Initially, I tried to achieve this on my own but struggled with consistency. With time, I eventually managed to find other people who wanted to work early too. Unfortunately, their schedules made it difficult for them to be consistent. Through it all, I continuously prayed to God for help.
In May 2024, when all hope seemed lost, a colleague casually mentioned that they preferred working early in the morning! I shared with them about my desire to work early too. We both then agreed to start working together from 05:00. From then on, what had been a struggle for many years became a natural routine to the point of my body clock kicking in and being able to work on my own on days when my colleague could not make it! I am grateful that God sent me help through my colleague.
Another highlight, in October 2024, I launched a drive to create care packs for 500 men, women and children who had been displaced by conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Each time I launch a drive, I step out in faith, trusting that God will send help by providing the partners and resources needed.

From the time I launched the DRC drive, people offered support through prayers, financial contributions, care pack items, and assistance in finding donors. The DRC drive was the first drive I have received support from companies. 高露洁 & The Shoprite Group of Companies donated 500 toothbrushes & 500 toothpaste and Pick n Pay donated a voucher sufficient to purchase 248 pieces of underwear. Through the generous help that God sent, we were also able, for the first time, to create an additional 42 care packs for babies!
None of this would have been possible without God sending help.
Never hesitate to ask God for help. At the right time, He makes things fall into place!
Matthew 7:7-8
7 “Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, it will be opened."
