and God said
Beyond all dispute reigns one expression 'and God said' appearing 25 times in the Bible (KJV), or 29 times where “Lord” is used.
The phrase, “and God said,” echoes throughout the Genesis account of creation. Long before anyone existed who might listen, God spoke. He simply could have thought the world into existence, but instead, He chose to voice His thoughts and intents.
Basing creation on the spoken words evidently underscores God’s desire to have an audience and make Himself known to man.
Without such a definite account man would've been adrift with no sure foundation to build a system of beliefs on.
We must therefore assume that the written records accurately record what actually occurred at the beginning of the world. For, to do otherwise calls God’s veracity into account. Thus, if we cannot trust His revelation regarding creation, how can we depend on what He has revealed?
In (Genesis 1:3), ...and God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Question is, to whom?
