The passage, ‘No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man.’ (1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV), reminds us that, many young Christians tend to think when they get saved they will no longer have to face temptation, but because, the same wind that blew at our backs on our way to hell will also blow in our faces on our way to heaven, God will not allow us to be tempted beyond that which we are capable of. In other words, when we get saved we will face more temptation than when we were lost, but God has made a way for us to turn our temptations into triumphs. So let the knowledge that: 1) Satan is called ‘the tempter’ because he knows the temptations that we easily succumb to; 2) Temptation never takes a holiday and if we take one, it will go with us, hit us when we feel strongest, knock us down and kick us when we feel weakest; and 3) God is faithful, He answers prayers and will come to our rescue each time we call on Him; teach you, particularly if you are thinking you can stand alone, to pray to be delivered from the evil one!FG. www.fgtalks.com
