God Emperor of Dune - Frank Herbert (????)
Book 65
I started off hating the book, but then it grew on me. This one took me a long time to finish with a lot of other things taking up priority and time these last few weeks. By the end of it though, I must say I did enjoy it. It is a very convoluted book and not as linear or easy as the first three. I’m going to capture here some of my most favorite quotes from the book that made me stop and think.
“You should never be in the company of anyone with whom you would not want to die.”
“Most believe that a satisfactory future requires a return to an idealized past, a past which never in fact existed.”
“The truth always carries the ambiguity of the words used to express it.”
“When I need to identify rebels, I look for men with principles.”
“Caution is the path to mediocrity. Gliding, passionless mediocrity is all that most people think they can achieve.”

3 年Rohan Kamath I'm really amazed at the volume of books you have read this year and how you have surpassed your initial goal. Have you seen any visible improvement in your WPM reading speed? Do you take notes and ruminate over it or most books are binge reads? Great going!
