IF GOD DOES NOT SEND US AND WE INSIST ON GOING OR HE TELLS US TO DO SOMETHINGS AND WE TRY TO ACCOMPLISHTHEM IN OUR OWN STRENGTH, WE WILL SURELY FAIL!
The passage, ‘Our competence comes from God. He has made us competent’ (2 Corinthians 3:5-6 NIV),
reminds us that, when Jesus told His disciples to watch and pray, lest they enter into temptation, it was He knew that, without the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit, which He had just told them they would soon receive, they were not equal to the challenges they were about to face and at some stage in their lives, they were likelyto fail so to avoid that, they needed to watch and pray. In other words, the sooner we stop trying to get things done on our own, the better off we will be. So let the knowledge that: 1) God is not looking for educated, sophisticated, well-meaning flesh or any special kind of ‘flesh’ to get the job done; 2) He will only bless us when we acknowledge our total dependence on Him; and 3) If He does not send us and we insist on going, or if He tells us to do certain things and we try to accomplish them in our own strength, we will surely fail; teach you, instead of trying to lean on your own strength and resources, to start depending wholly and solely on Him!FG. www.fgtalks.com
