GOALS

Few thoughts about goals that came to mind, and I wanted to share them here.

These thoughts are purely subjective and do not in any way indicate a preference of importance or personal achievement.

1. Business Goals:

Do you want to start a business?

At what time/age/year do you want to start?

How big do you imagine it to be?

What impact should it have on society?

2. Spiritual Goals:

Is there a purpose why you are on earth?

Are you making an effort to accomplish your purpose?

Have you sought to know God or a higher god for yourself? An encounter with Him? A conviction? An experience with Him?

If there is a heaven or paradise or a good place and hell, where would you want to go?

Is there anything you have to do today to get you ready for such a place?

3. Health Goals:

Do you know your health status?

Do you have regular medical check-ups?

Are you taking steps to be healthy? Exercising? Practising good nutrition where possible? Having enough sleep?

4. Academic Goals:

Are you satisfied with your academic level of qualification?

Are you learning something new?

Are you improving and becoming better at something?

Are you reading books, writing, teaching, listening, observing, analyzing and projecting into the future?

5. Relationship Goals:

How present are you in the lives of your relations?

How dependable do you want to be for them?

What memories do you want to have with them?

What legacy do you want to leave them?

Are you ready to sacrifice some time to keep relationships going?

6. Career Goals:

Have you thought about the career you want to have?

What skills do you have that can help you attain the pinnacle of your career?

What relationships are you forming to help you in your career journey?

Will you and do you find fulfillment in your career?

Are you on your career path by "accident"? If so, can something be done about it to change its course?

7. Family Goals:

Do you believe you will and should have a partner to share life with until old age?

Do you believe you will and should have a child or children of your own?

If you cannot have or do not want children of your own, do you think adoption is possible?

If you want to have children or adopt, when can this be?

Are you ready and will you be ready to sacrifice all the other goals in order to keep family together?

8. Financial Goals:

Are you satisfied with what you earn?

How can you earn more if not satisfied?

What can you invest in for more returns?

Are you saving for the future? For yourself, your kids, projects you might want to do?

Abundance comes with generosity.

Are you ready to give a part of your earnings for a good cause (benevolence, sponsorship, God's work, humanitarian aid, support for the needy, etc)?

9. Discovery Goals:

The earth has so many beautiful places worth discovering - some close by to where we live, others further away.

Have you thought of travelling somewhere just for the sake of discovery and a change of environment?

Travelling and discovering other environments put our thoughts and plans into better perspective.

Travelling and discovering other environments give us a chance to recognize our strengths, potential, talents and limitations.

Plan to travel somewhere on foot, by bicycle, by motor, by vehicle, by ship, by plane, by train, by any means possible!

Go discover the world. Go discover the universe!

Discovery could also be linked to unknown skills and talents.

Try a new sport, a new activity or a new routine.

Trying a new thing helps us discover ourselves more and the hidden skills and talents we seem not to use.

There probably should be a 10th goal, an 11th and many more.
