What do you want in your lifetime? Is there a desire in your heart?
You can achieve anything you set your mind to and here is how:
- Visualize it
- Write it down
- Put positive energy* toward it.
*You need POSITIVE ENERGY to get your goal to “take off and materialize”. Negative energy will move you away from your goal. So don’t broadcast your intentions. Sometimes telling others what you want to achieve before you achieve it may evoke a negative reaction from some that can cause you to react by burying your dream, lessening your passion, or putting your goals on hold. Not everyone wants you to succeed. Everyone sees the world through their own perceptual glasses. Sometimes they are too busy thinking about their own issues and cannot see your world the way you see it - and they never will. And sometimes, some people are just too negative.
Even Jesus was unable to do mighty works in his own country due to negativity and unbelief (Mark Chapter 6: verse 5). If Jesus could not operate optimally in an environment of unbelief, what about mortals like us? Negative energy kills.
MY STORY:
When I observe my own life, there are times when I feel the need to "level up" – to take action to catapult me to the next level. I learned very early in life to write down my desires, dreams, aspirations and goals. When a recent big accomplishment in my life materialized, I took out my bible to read and pray and came upon a page with 2 yellow post-it notes that I placed in it around the year 2005 when I was going through some life transitions. It was not until recently that I made the connection between the aspirations I expressed on the yellow post-it notes back then, and the accomplishment that materialized years later.
This is 2020. A new decade has just begun. I am excited to step into this new decade. Today I wrote down my goals, aspirations and desires. I used the same type of post-it notes that I have used in the past because my method worked, so I feel I should not change what works. Now I am ready to speak to these goals and put POSITIVE ENERGY around it. Will I reveal to others what those goals and aspirations are? No. I need only positive energy to flow to my aspirations.
YOUR HEART’S DESIRES:
Is there anything that you have in your heart that you need to see materialize?
- Forging new relationships? Partnerships?
- Making more money? Are you not able to make ends meet?
- Spirituality? Recognizing that there is a higher power than yourself and connecting to that higher being?
- Living a healthy lifestyle – more and better work-out plans, eating habits?
- Helping others? Getting involved in charitable causes?
If you need to level-up in any aspect of your life, maybe you should practice the Art of Visualization.
THE VISION BOARD:
Some individuals have praised the use of vision boards because they put pictures of the things and aspirations on it and place it where they can see it every day as a constant reminder of what these aspirations are.
I love Maya Angelou, God bless her heart wherever she is looking down from today. She said, “IF YOU ARE ALWAYS TRYING TO BE NORMAL, YOU WILL NOT KNOW HOW AMAZING YOU CAN BE.” You do not have to try to please people by trying to be normal: normal is just like everyone else. Do not pretend, just be yourself. Remember that everything is learned. You have been shaped by your environment. Apart from your physical characteristics, everything about you was learned and you can change it in a heartbeat. But, are you willing to change?
HAVE GOALS – DON’T STAGNATE!!
People without goals stagnate! Businesses without goals stagnate!
There was a time in my life when I was confused. I could not visualize any career goals. I had no investment goals. I was not making any large purchases such as a house or a car. I had paid off my house before I turned 40 and always bought cars with cash money. I was not buying new property. I did not want to invest in property because I no longer enjoyed the work involved in property management. Also, I am not the type of person who would enjoy lying on the beach everyday so I felt bored and miserable. I needed to have a goal. I was stagnating!
It is 2020! – the start of a new decade. Where will you be a year from now? Five years from now? Can you start now? Are you too old or too young? Once you wake up strong and healthy, there is nothing to stop you from catapulting your own career or business, or leveling up yourself to be the best version of yourself. It is a work in progress. You are at the right place and you are living in the right moment. Let’s get to it!
