The all-new 2018 EcoSport offers available technology that makes driving more convenient than ever. The BLIS? (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert uses sensors to alert you of vehicles in your blind spots. SYNC? 32 with compatible Apple CarPlay?4 and Android Auto?5 offers enhanced voice-recognition capability and an available 8-inch color LCD touch screen with swipe and pinch-to-zoom capability and Auto Start-Stop Technology can help reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

BLIS? WITH CROSS-TRAFFIC ALERT

Available BLIS with cross-traffic alert has sensors that help you watch your blind spots and alert you by illuminating a light in your side view mirror if another vehicle is detected in your blind spot. While you’re backing slowly out of a parking spot, it watches for approaching traffic and can alert you if it senses another vehicle.

Choose Eco Sport SE and you’ll be richly rewarded. Moon roof, heated seats, a six-way power driver’s seat, and leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob are just a few of the standard features. Plus you’ll enjoy the convenience of Intelligent Access with push-button start, leave the key fob in your pocket or purse and you can open the doors and hatch and even start the car without ever taking it out. The front end of the vehicle is all new – with redesigned grille and headlamps, the vehicle will also get an all new electrical architecture to accommodate connectivity features, the seat of the vehicles too are completely redesigned for more comfort. It’ll also get a reinforced body with different sub frames and the instrumentation panel will come with the new center console.

Come 2018, the plant in Chennai in South of India will ship out several thousand Eco Sport in a month to the US shores and help Ford participate in the booming small SUV market in America. The move is seen as a major shot in the arm for Indian manufacturing, which is growing its capability to meet the most stringent requirements of advanced markets like Europe, Japan, and North America. Ford decided to source the vehicles from India due to its strong competitiveness and proven quality in European markets.

Ford Active Grille Shutters are special shutters in the grille that are open and close automatically reduces aerodynamic drag by up to 6 percent, increasing fuel economy.
