Go out and get it, the success I mean

#newdaynewchapter is a Blog narrative started on March 1, 2021 co-founded by Kishore Shintre & Sonia Bedi, to write a new chapter everyday for making "Life" and not just making a "living"
Success has no quick fix formula but it differs from person to person. For some people, successful life means being doctor, engineer, teacher, sports man, etc. But for some people, successful life means having a small family with luxuries and all. Nowadays, your career makes your life successful. Success is, or at least should be, primarily defined as an achievement of something desired. So, the most successful people are the ones who achieve the things they most desire.
And what we desire the most, even more than money, is to be proud of what we do with our lives. This is especially true when it comes to our work. A truly successful person is one who is proud of the work he or she does. That is the true meaning of success. Now, a lot of money shouldn't be the primary definition of success, but it's a reasonable goal to have. We all want to have enough money to sustain ourselves and our family. The thing is, if we're truly passionate about the work we do, there's probably a better chance that money will follow.
Moreover, contrary to common beliefs, there are no successful or unsuccessful people but instead there are people who have the potential to succeed and who do things that helps them realize this potential and there are people with the same potential who don’t do those things. The only thing you need to do to succeed is to do exactly what successful people did. When you do that you will acquire the mentality of a successful person and this will help you reach success.
Identify your passion and dream big, have a clear vision of your goal in life. Nothing changes in your life until you believe you can do things that are important to you. And if you don’t have passion and vision, your journey to success may lead you to nowhere. Passion or drive or zeal is the self-driven attitude about your job and your work that can help lead you to the path of success. Let me cite an example for this.
For example, consider a boy who enjoys working with machines and playing with concepts and equations. If he takes up a career in engineering, he will work passionately and will be successful in his life. On the contrary, a boy who finds acting and mimicry interesting might also become an engineer, but never a passionate one and he is certain to fail in life at some later stage.
“Imagine someone would have forced Sachin Tendulkar to sing and Lata Mangeshkar to play cricket, where would they have been today?”- Rancho in 3 Idiots. You can’t decide you will work hard on acting because you see fans worship Amitabh Bachchan or Rajinikanth. You can’t decide to take up Tennis just because you are a great admirer of Federer. You can’t just decide to do something because that has brought fame, money and success to people you admire. Do the things you love, you enjoy and you are good at. Absolutely nothing great can be achieved without love of doing it.
Let me compare your success with your crush. What is your state of mind when you have crush on someone? Probably you think only about your crush at every moment. In the same way, if you are not thinking about your goal every time, you are preparing to lose. “It takes the same energy to think small as it does to think big. So dream big and think bigger.” – Desmond John.
Here is the Story of a Young Girl Ria Who tells about herself how she discovers her passion in life: Ria tells: My Passion is living in the world of books and playing with words. I mean reading and writing Books. Passion is something which becomes the essential trait of a being. Something without doing which he can’t stay still. And same is true with me. I love being carried away with the flow of words. I love sitting whole day beside a tree with my back on it and continue reading and writing a whole lots of books.
I was introduced to the beauty of reading by my brother. When I was Seven years old, he kept on bringing books and novels back home and at that time, he forced me to read those books. He asked me to write something of my own. Be it a little poem or something did those things and slowly all these things became my need. I was just not able to be calm if i was not provided with a novel to read frequently. I believe that Rich is one who owns a big library of books. In no time, reading and writing became my passion. Now, all I wish is to become an aspiring author someday!!
A man was caught and thrown into a pit of about 40 feet deep, just because he was a stranger. He struggled trying to get out of the pit, but the more he tried, the weaker his muscles became. He said to himself, “I don’t know how to get myself out of this. Maybe I should just die instead of enduring these miserable struggles and pains.” Just then, he heard a voice screaming, “Help! Help!! Help!!” The shouts were coming from another pit, which was 10 feet deeper than the one he was in. He thought to himself, “, so there is somebody else like me trapped here too.”
Listening carefully, he heard some cracking and sand dropping from the wall of the pit of the other victim. Immediately he summed up his courage and with his last bit of strength, started crawling little by little until he made it out of his pit. Moral of the Story: That pain you think you are passing through, there are people worst off than you.
Always say something sweet to yourself. Always smile at your pains. Let them be; they are just there for a while and also to challenge you. Today may be your darkest hour, but your joy will come in the morning. Try to encourage yourself. Look at yourself in the mirror, beat your chest and say, “I can make it and I can stand the test of time.”
Try to be different to be successful: Be different to be successful, make things happen. As a matter of fact, doing things differently than everyone else is a great rule of thumb to follow to create extraordinary success in job career, business, relationships, and life in general. What is it that makes some people successful in life – able to reach whatever goal they like – while others get stuck in the same place for years, if not decades? In fact, Successful people don’t do different things, they do things differently. Cheers!
Once upon a time, in a small Indian town, a merchant had the misfortune of owing a large sum of money to the moneylender in the town. The moneylender, who was old and ugly, fancied the merchant's beautiful daughter so he proposed a bargain. He said he would forgo the merchant's debt if he could marry her daughter to him. Both the merchant and his daughter were horrified by this proposal.
The moneylender told them that he would put a black pebble and a white pebble into an empty bag. The girl would then have to pick one pebble from the bag. If she picked the black pebble, she would become the moneylender's wife and her father's debt would be forgiven. If she picked the white pebble, she need not marry him and her father's debt would still be forgiven. But, if she refused to pick a pebble, her father would be thrown into jail.
So, they were standing on a pebble strewn path in the merchant's garden. As they talked, the moneylender bent over to pick up two pebbles. As he picked them up, the sharp-eyed girl noticed that he had picked up two black pebbles and put them into the bag. He then asked the girl to pick her pebble from the bag. What would you have done if you were the girl? If you had to advise her, what would you have told her?
Careful analysis would produce three possibilities: 1. The girl should refuse to take a pebble. 2. The girl should show that there were two black pebbles in the bag and expose the moneylender as a cheat. 3. The girl should pick a black pebble and sacrifice herself in order to save her father from his debt and imprisonment. The above story is used with the hope that it will make us appreciate the difference between lateral and logical thinking.
The girl put her hand into the moneybag and drew out a pebble. Without looking at it, she fumbled and let it fall onto the pebble-strewn path where it immediately became lost among all the other pebbles. "Oh, how clumsy of me," she said. "But never mind, if you look into the bag for the one that is left, you will be able to tell which pebble I picked." Since the remaining pebble is black, it must be assumed that she had picked the white one. And since the moneylender dared not admit his dishonesty, the girl changed what seemed an impossible situation into an advantageous one. So, be Different, Think Differently.Cheers!
