Go Niche, Go Deep (or Go Home)

LinkedIn peeps, do you know what your niche market is?
Being too broad will dilute your brand and attract the wrong type of attention.
Knowing how you position in the market industry will add to your conversion revenue-generating, hyper-growth tool (did you see how many buzz words I used in a sentence? lol)
I'm going to use Holly Lee as a mega example.
She's a career coach helping tech leaders land jobs at top tech tier companies. She's uniquely positioned as an influencer-expert because she has a strong top funnel and audience with her YouTube channel with 12k subscribers.
Her niche is career coaching. Her value prop (which I like to call the promised land) is that she helps tech leaders land jobs and pass Amazon competitive interview process.
It also helps that she has almost two decades in the space. (AKA, she knows her sh*t).
The definition of a niche market: A specialized segment of the market for a particular kind of product or service.
Go Niche On LinkedIn
Being that LinkedIn is emerging as a social influencing platform, our profiles can be switched to become more content and channel-driven.
A niche channel will accelerate your audience's growth and, in turn, bring eyeballs.
I'm going to use the premise of YouTuber's and how you can determine your brand niche.
Determine Your Niche Like A YouTuber
1?? Find thy Sweet Spot
There's a big difference between what you are good at and what you're passionate about. One makes you money, and the other is what you be satisfied doing every day. But I'm personally selfish. The sweet spot is finding what you're passionately good at and can earn an income from. It's why I respect successful YouTubers, like Roberto Blake and Nick Nimmin - both love helping people become successful YouTubers.

2?? Know thy Volks
Volks is part of 7Vs of personal branding, volks = a German word for people.
One way to monetize your brand channel and influence is sponsorship, but a brand won't pay you if you don't know how your audience is.
A make-up YouTube channel will likely partner up with a makeup brand.
On LinkedIn, a creative marketing content creator can partner with marketing products, which I did with my Linktree article.
Knowing whom you are creating content for and who will buy your products will help determine how you market and sell yourself.
3?? Research a popular YouTuber in your niche topic
They have done the hard work in being the top of their niche, and I would reverse-engineer what content they create. Ask yourself the following questions while doing your research:
- What content are they producing?
- Who is their key audience?
- How do they stand out?
- What are they offering?
- What's their funnel like?
- How can I learn from them and add my own spin to it?
Take a pen and paper out - visually map out what's awesome about them. This is my example of Jasmine Star - she's a great creative and business strategist to follow on Instagram and YouTube.
String's Recap: Go Niche & Earn Money
Find your sweet spot, create content, and be a branded channel. I see a future where professionals such as yourself will be content creators.
Can you build a channel as a side hustle? Many YouTubers started their channel as a side hustle and kept their 9-5 job.
The low hanging opportunity is building a niche branded channel on LinkedIn.
