Go Natural, Not Artificial!

I Take Natural and Wildlife Friendly Gardening Very Seriously, so when I get asked to do things outside of this, It's a resolute No!

I'm Not your average, everyday type of gardener and I'm probably going to get a ton of abusive when I pose this question, but it has to be said..

Artificial Grass, Is It A Worthy Alternative?

Would you rather have a Garden like a Sterile "Party Pad, you know, very little in the way of a traditional garden, more like a garden full of "Artificial ( Plastic Lawn, Slabs/Paving everywhere, Decking etc) or a more Natural Garden such as, a Real Lawn, Proper Borders/Planting Areas, Tree's and a Pond or two?

I'm finding that people who are fed up mowing their lawn and or, the lawn is a mess, are just ripping up the Grass and going down the Sterile Artificial Grass route, and it's the same as Outdoor Spaces in particular (Areas that have Decking, Slabs/Sandstone and Artificial Grass etc, these are Not Gardens but, Glorified Party Pads)

Rather than dig up the Grass, why not plant Wildflowers and Meadow Type seeds, this way, you have a Beautiful space that is Rich In Wildlife, and the best bit is, no mowing, as all you then do is just let the spent plants and leaves to die, then just rake up and compost. That's a Win in all areas.

Come on people, Bees and Butterflies etc are already having a bad time, without so many gardens being taken out and being redone by having a Sterile, Devoid Of Life Party Pads.
