Go Inward Towards Your Conscience and Consciousness Like Light Rays Converge Down to a Point – and We Can Overcome the COVID-19 Challenge!

I know several people have been working seriously to awaken us for a good number of years, pointing to a number of technologies and products that are harming us, other species and the environment we live in. I am among them, which is no secret to my audience in LinkedIn. I have met amazing people through LinkedIn who have supported me through the times during which I have had to endure vicious attacks from the lighting and optics communities; from established peer-reviewed scientific and technical societies; and from numerous individuals that have been fanatically supporting LED lighting over conventional lighting without understanding LED illumination at the basic level. To understand LED illumination at the fundamental level, please see my book, which can be found in Amazon.

Through these difficult times, I have realized that people in the physics and engineering communities haven’t entirely recognized how electromagnetic radiation escapes from solids and how they propagate in space. For spherical type of radiation sources, their lack of understanding didn’t pose any substantial problem. With flat radiation sources, their discoveries and understanding led to important products and technologies like lasers and wireless antennas. However, further understandings are required to recognize the inherent shortcomings of LED lighting and determining accurate power densities generated by cell phones and cell towers for wireless signals. This is necessary because extreme light densities known as luminance and luminous intensity from flat lighting sources are harmful to our eyes and environment; and so is too much wireless radiation to which we are now exposed.

We can change the way we develop products and do business. We must. We are facing an unprecedented challenge with COVID-19 sickening millions around the world and killing a good number of them. We may not be able to overcome this challenge through social distancing only. We need to find a balance between our financial livelihood and our health. Much of the modern, western healthcare relies on treating the sickly symptoms with medication, calling them cures. But the best healthcare is boosting our immune systems and protecting our natural environment. I am not saying anything new. But what I am saying is that we can improve our health while earning adequate income if we do the right things. What are the right things?

I can only contribute effectively and well by talking about the true power of science and mathematics. Because of our support for a society where there is unprecedented greed towards making obscene amount of money by only a few companies and individuals in recent times, we have compromised our ability to do and support excellent science. Money and power have corrupted our overall system within which scientists and academia operate. Some of us have been ostracized and insulted for doing the scientific and technical work much needed to make better lighting and communication products. Both of these are used and misused in a manner that hurt our vision and health, despite the outcries coming from some medical and health professionals.

My intention is to bring scientific truths that can help us better understand light and electromagnetic radiation in general. I am motivated to present my article at this time because John O’Gorman recently brought this piece of literature to my attention.

https://getpocket.com/explore/item/what-this-drawing-taught-me-about-four-dimensional-spacetime?

A quote from this article: “Our eyes are only able to gather the light rays that happen to be aimed straight toward them. Collectively, any group of light rays that happen to converge onto one’s pupil are, altogether, fanned out radially from the pupil, with each light ray traveling perpendicular to the surface of an implied sphere.”

The above quote came from two artists who inspired Dr. Stephon Alexander, professor of physics at Brown University. The above quote is actually the recognition of Gauss’ Divergence Theorem, which led to two of the 4 Maxwell’s Equations for electromagnetics. If one understands Gauss’ Divergence Theorem thoroughly, he would immediately recognize that “Thou shall not make a lighting source from a flat surface that is inherently able to densely pack light generating elements very efficiently!”

Notice I said, “lighting source” and not “light source”. While a lighting source of that kind is horrific, such a light source is beneficial when used as a fiber-optic signal generator; and such a light source used for medical surgery, welding and metal cutting is beneficial as well. However, we should not use such a light source to illuminate and should not place it out in the open environment for anyone or anything that can be exposed to it at any point in time!

I have been vindicated by the article written by Professor Stephon Alexander. But my discovery goes beyond that. I have been able to come up with a mathematical formula to predict the light and EMR density that gets created from flat radiation sources in the laboratory.

I also have a patent that provides design and manufacturing methods that will lower the luminance of an LED lighting source and diffuse its light in space in manner that will mimic the light output from an incandescent lamp, but with the high luminous efficacy (lumen/watt) of a very efficient LED.

Hopefully our scientific and engineering communities will now see the light. Hopefully our society will now see the light beyond just light and do the right thing to treat good scientists justifiably; make responsible products that don’t harm our immune system; give credit to good artists and other non-scientific professionals who recognize truth and humanity and want to genuinely help humanity. Hopefully we can all do the right things so that immediate revenues and profits don’t take precedence over common sense and caring for one another as well as caring for our mother nature take precedence instead.

Acknowledgement: I would like to thank John O’Gorman of Q6FSA for alerting me to the article written by Professor Stephon Alexander at Brown University.
