Go Get It! - How to Activate The Courage From Within To Make An Impact In The World!

Fourteen years ago, I was flying back from a professional development conference in Jacksonville, Florida during the Holiday season when this concept dropped in my mind to create the Circle of Change Leadership Experience.
At the time, the purpose of the Circle of Change Leadership Experience was to use all the lessons that I had learned about leadership as a nationally recognized speaker to create a transformational leadership experience that would empower college students with the leadership development training needed to make a positive impact in their community, nation, and world as an emerging leader.?
Unfortunately for me, during this moment of inspiration, I did not have the financial resources, leadership team, or any other type of support that was needed to create, develop, and host a national leadership experience for college students from across the country.
Despite the challenges and fear that stood between my current place and the manifestation of this vision, I was activated by courageous faith (an ability to think, speak, and act upon a vision/dream despite the challenges that are presented) and began the process of planning this national leadership experience that I envisioned upon the airplane.
Although I faced many challenges and obstacles that first year leading up to the conference with one student intern who really helped me plan the conference, we successfully developed and hosted 125 student leaders at the first Circle of Change Leadership Experience on December 4, 2010, at the California State University of Long Beach.
From there, my leadership team and I not only hosted thirteen more leadership conferences in Los Angeles, California, two virtual leadership experiences during the pandemic, three regional conferences in Houston, Texas, San Jose, California, and New York City, New York, and two First Generation Student Career Conferences in Miami, Florida, but we have impacted the lives of over 10,000 plus student leaders from more than 100 hundred colleges/universities over this fourteen-year span.
And, one of the main reasons why I have been able to grow, develop, and impact thousands of lives at the Circle of Change Leadership Experience each year is because I learned how to build the courageous faith that was necessary to create, develop, and grow a transformational and impactful leadership experience for college students all across the world.
In essence, despite the challenges, obstacles, frustrations, fears, and moments of uncertainty each year, my ability to activate and build the courageous faith needed to manifest and serve as a great leader of this vision was a foundational key to my success in creating a life- changing experience for student leaders that has been going for more a decade.???????????
As I thought about this journey in preparation for the 14th Annual Circle of Change Leadership Experience that is happening this November 17-19, 2023 in Los Angeles, California, I was inspired to share four key ingredients that other visionary leaders can do to build the courageous faith needed to manifest that vision that you possess on the inside to make a positive impact in your community, nation, and world.

ACTIVATING YOUR COURAGEOUS FAITH
The first key ingredient to courageous faith is becoming clear about the barriers that are stopping you from moving forward towards the vision that you have?for yourself from within.?These barriers can be fear, lack of confidence, uncertainty, certain people, negative experiences of the past, or other things that are discouraging you from stepping out of your comfort zone and pursuing this vision to change the world.
The second key ingredient to courageous faith is developing a set of solutions that can be used to eradicate the barriers that are stopping you from moving forward with the vision to change the world in a positive way.?For me personally, some of the things that I did to eradicate various barriers in my journey were positive affirmations, a support team, lots of prayer and meditation, disciplined habits, and consistent action toward my vision to impact others.
The third key ingredient to courageous faith is creating an implementation plan of the solutions that you have developed to eradicate the barriers holding you back from pursuing your vision to change the world.?In a sense, in order to activate courageous faith, you not only need to develop applicable and effective solutions to eradicate the barriers, but you need to integrate these solutions into your daily lifestyle through implementation.
And finally, the fourth ingredient to courageous faith is action and resilience.?In essence, once you have identified and created an implementation plan, your next move is not only to act upon the action plan that you have created, but it’s to develop the resilience that is needed to endure the challenges and obstacles that will manifest when you begin to pursue your vision to change the world.
Once these four ingredients are implemented, I believe that many people will be impacted by the vision that you have created to change the world.
