Go and Get it - Anything is Possible

Look above, I am living proof and i can prove it. If you want something and have the persistence, passion and desire to follow it through it will happen. This time last year we were about to welcome baby number 2 to Team Malone and after a long night with my wife having braxton hicks and rubbing her back, I ended up being up wide awake through the night. I listened to some Gary Vaynerchuck podcasts and I decided to write a quick article and reflect on My experience so far at being part of the Aggreko team. The response i had from my co-workers and LinkedIn connections via mail, phone was very inspiring and in the background after discussions with my wife and family, I decided to reach out to Sarah Justice our Recruitment Manager in North America - to see if there was an appetite for a Scottish Guy to follow his ambition and moved to North America. Sarah replied and informed me to apply for particular jobs and they would be looked at on a job to basis. I seen an opening in Toronto, attached my CV and hit send........ The rest is history. I am now 4 months into my new role, family are settled we even have the Dog here!!! we experienced the tail-end of the winter which was freezing but as i write this on my deck its currently 23 degrees at 7 pm at night. Toronto is an amazing city with such a positive outlook on how the world should be. Something i want me and my family to be part off:-)

Its a big thing moving a family abroad. especially with a 3 year old and 8 month old baby. We sold our home packed up our life and jetted off into the Great unknown to persue a dream, My dream!! My wife has been fantastic in supporting me in my career and i cannot thank her enough. Anyone who knows me personally, will know how ambitious i am. Some will call me a risk taker. But as the saying goes " The biggest risk is not taking any risk at all, In a world that is changing really quickly, the only strategy this is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks."

I wanted to share my experience with you all, tell you my story and if it inspires even 1 person to go grab and seize what it ever it they desire in the pursuit of happiness. Then this will have been worthwhile. Gary Vaynerchuck Inspired me to go get it and love the hustle i want to pass it on to you.

Whats next ...... I want to inspire, I want to help deliver success, I want to lead by example and take our Toronto team to a new level. These guys are exceptional and the Toronto Branch will soon be the envy of all the Aggreko world ;-)
