Go Fund Me Campaign for Maker Camp - Haverhill Heritage Inc. - Haverhill, New Hampshire

Haverhill, NH is a rural town of 4,600 people in the Upper Connecticut River Valley of New Hampshire. More than 1/4 (26.7%) of the kids here live below the poverty line. This fundraiser is aimed at making the 2024 Maker Camp tuition free.

Haverhill Heritage, Inc. (HHI), a non-profit 501(c)3 group brings arts, music, and kids summer programs to the area. Those programs include a weeklong Maker Camp to interest and instruct local girls and boys 8 to 13 years old about STEM. In past years, the camp cost $275 per kid, which while not quite covering costs, made the camp beyond the means of many families.

With your help in getting their nerd on, one of these kids might grow up to become a STEM superstar.

The camp is hands-on and includes robotics, programming, circuitry, CAD, and prototyping among other STEM topics. All the materials, including computers, are provided. The Camp provides instruction for 15 to 17 kids in Haverhill, NH, in a community space provided by HHI. The Camp is organized and run by White Mountain Science, Inc, of Littleton NH, (whitemountainscience.org) a non-profit group dedicated to supporting and amplifying STEM education in Northern NH.

The 2024 Maker Camp goal is $5,160 so HHI can offer it tuition free and cover the fundraising costs.
