Go for the Bronze!
What's the difference between "Winning" and "Not Losing"? You.

Go for the Bronze!

AS with most things in life, "Winning" is a state of mind.

Turns out, "Medalling at the Olympics" with a Bronze is much more satisfying than "Not Winning the Gold Medal at the Olympics". At least to our own, individual inner critics. These little angels or devils are one of the most important influences on a person's outlook on life - where the feelings of success and failure really (only) matter.

I'm fascinated by this stuff. As a marketing writer, it's understanding these types of human/consumer behavior 'truths' that can make the difference between writing an effective message or campaign and one that says a lot but communicates nothing.

As a competitor, will a medalist view themselves as One of the Best Athletes in the World for their sport or feel like they "Lost the Gold medal"?

As a businessperson, did you succeed in doing your job to the best of your ability or did you fail to achieve 130% of quota, get a promotion, earn more money than someone else?

Truth is that Success, Peace, Love and Purpose exists only where you believe it is - and how you chose to measure it.
