At GNB Corporation, we care deeply about all customers and partners. They live and work in every corner of the world – even in areas torn by war. As a company with worldwide scope and vision, our hearts sink for our dear colleagues, business partners and clients in Ukraine and in Russia.
GNB personnel have traveled to both Russia and Ukraine many times, and we have enjoyed working with companies and individuals in both countries. We have a great admiration for our friends and business colleagues in both countries.
The sudden and horrifying invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops is heartbreaking on every level. We know this conflict is not about the good people. Instead, this is about governments and ideologies. We find the things that are happening in Ukraine very disturbing, and it makes us feel sick to watch the news and see the pictures of devastation—some in the beautiful places where we have been.
As a leader in the vacuum and components industry, we get a panoramic view of what’s possible with technology and innovation. Vacuum technology touches many sectors and people around the world: from food packaging and microchip processing to LED lighting and aerospace. There is so much good companies around the world are doing. Yet, today we join Ukraine and the rest of the world in unity against war violence.?
Peace and humanity must prevail.
As we wait for that, our hearts will stay heavy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Ukraine, and those nearby who are impacted directly and indirectly by the invasion.
As we give pause, it’s hard not to think about the great city of Kyiv and its people, beauty and culture. Kyiv is home to a monument, an imposing statue made from stainless steel. It's beautiful and stunning. The 203-foot-tall Motherland Monument depicts a heroic figure holding up a sword pointed toward the sky. It has a meaningful and controversial history. At its base, you’ll find a military museum filled with relics of previous wars and exhibits that celebrate Ukrainian innovation, creativity and ingenuity.?

The Ukrainian people have developed amazing technologies, particularly in the vacuum area of electron beam and electron beam welding. GNB Corporation is proud to have been part of their supply chain in the past.?
We hope that everyone impacted by these horrific events knows that you have a friend and ally from GNB Corporation in the United States. That is true for both the citizens of Russia and Ukraine.
We fully support the sanctions on Russia – anything that will help put an end to this unnecessary war, even if it means that we will pay more for oil and stainless steel. We applaud the global consensus on the need to bring peace and renewed prosperity to this area of the world.
Our hearts go out to the people in Russia—many of whom will suffer due to the falling Ruble and the alienation from the rest of the world. You bear the brunt of the situation, and it is not your fault.
Equally, our hearts go out to the people in Ukraine. Your food and water sources are being cut off. You live in fear and cannot sleep—not knowing if you and your children are safe for the night. What you are enduring is gut wrenching, unfair and cruel beyond human understanding.
The world must continue to unite and do everything possible to choke off Russia’s war-funding income. We urge our friends here at home to call their Congress representative to express their support for the people of Ukraine and to ask our nation to take all appropriate actions to stop the devastation.?
Our unity is our strength, and we will continue to support human kindness for all of our friends around the world.?

You bear the brunt of the situation, and it is not your fault. Equally, our hearts go out to the people in Ukraine." "We know this conflict is not about the good people" 70% of Russian people support invasion to Ukraine! Many of them from scientific institutions and industries. Every component you sell to your Russian customers will support the war! Will provide food packaging for the army, microchips for the tanks and components for producing more rockets, Just ask your customers in Moscow if they were on the meeting in Luzhniki to support Putin on March 18? By continuing business with Russia you are supporting the war. "Equally, our hearts go out to the people in Ukraine", is a heart breaking to read
