GMB and Other Helpful Local SEO Tools

If you are a small business owner, or a local business owner, you will want to utilize all the local resources you can get your hands on. A Google My Business is a gift from Google to you. A free business listing that is pertinent in helping customers find you on Google.

It literally puts you on Google Maps. ?

If you’re not the most tech savvy person, don’t get discouraged – setting up your Google My Business is super simple (see links below).

It is through your GMB listing that you are able to constantly update information that is important to your customer such as: business hours, types of services, business updates and news, business address, product information, photos, sales and promotions and more.

Google will favour your business if your profile is fully complete, so ensure you are filling out all of your information and updating it regularly. Think of GMB as a social platform -- the more often you are updating it, the better!

It is here that clients are also able to leave reviews of your business online. This feature is incredibly important in building trust and fostering a good reputation with your audience. It can even give you hints on where you can improve.

If I can give one piece of advice to any local business it would be to utilize your free listing through Google My Business -- this will help push your business further in your local area and help build trust online.
