Glynn Capital Shares Seven Lessons Learned for VC Interns

Glynn Capital hosted over 25 venture capital summer interns and fellows from the San Francisco Bay Area for a networking event and fireside chat with the Glynn Capital investment team on Thursday, July 28th.?

Special thank you to our summer interns, Taleha Aftab and Joy Chen for spearheading this successful event. And thank you to Kim Moore , Glynn Capital and Charles Friedland , Glynn Capital for leading the discussion and offering valuable insights.

Among the takeaways and key insights:

  • Hustle, show up, and stay hungry
  • Stay curious and learn as much as you can every day
  • Be resourceful and figure out what you don't know, don’t be afraid to ask questions
  • Get experience as an operator to know how a company works from the inside?
  • Build a network by being helpful and a value-add to people you meet?
  • Focus on thesis driven work and pattern recognition skills to target specific companies
  • Be aware of the ecosystem and stay plugged into news

Guests were also able to network and connect with other Bay Area interns while enjoying refreshments at the Glynn Capital office in San Francisco.
