Glowing Leaders- not always for good reasons
I commented on a post saying that the words glow with wisdom.
I saw a glowing face.
Many questions started playing in my mind.
-?????????What makes words or faces glow?
-?????????Glow like what? There are not many examples of glowing animals, plants and even recently a glowing rock and flowers.
-?????????What meanings can we derive from glowing?
These sample questions reminded me of glowing people with enthusiasm. Those people may glow from internal reasons or external ones.
When a plant or animal glow from within it is because of its structure where it can absorb light and reflect it as a glowing one.

?Great leaders and achievers glow internally. They absorb the light of information and ideas of followers and reflect them in glowing suggestions and creative ideas.
Those leaders have glowing internal motivation. They have natural motivation to energize followers. Motivation is intrinsic and need no external supply of external motivation.
Glowing leaders know well that there are hidden glowing talents in every team member. Those leaders realize that the glow of every team member may be faint, bit if synchronized and aligned the combined glows may produce magical results.
It is similar to fireflies the glow of each firefly is weak what fireflies collectively produce sounding light.
Great leaders realize when to apply pressure if necessary to get the glow of team members. They are similar to candles that when people grind them between their teeth they glow.
Leaders may also apply the grinding technique so they may find of the color of a candidate or employees is different from their streak color. This helps the leader reveal how an employee behaves "under grinding".?You don't want human characters that prove to be "fools' gold".
On the other side the purpose and intention of glowing are for wicked reasons. They are like marine animals that do not glow but allow small glowing creatures to cover them to make them glow.
Leaders who take the work of others so that they may look glowing are in my opinion toxic leaders. They steal the motivation of others to serve themselves.
Great leaders glow for a great purpose and not a wicked one.

2 年In organizations large and small, true great leaders have one thing in common: they have a greater purpose that drives them, a why. It is this connection with what is truly important that helps them be safe, authentic and trustworthy. These are the characteristics that people remember of the leaders who stimulated them the most. Here, I believe, whoever wants to be a great leader must first of all know how to articulate their own why, the greater purpose, his /her "excellent goal", connecting daily choices with own overarching sense of purpose.

2 年Like all of nature luminescence of all types has a purpose. In the animal world it has some pretty amazing features and purposes. In the human world the luminescence tends to be tea leaves, much as you have explained. In humans what is luminescence emergent from? The answer, often times will describe purpose. Team members are always reading the tea leaves of luminescence to see "how they fit". I would think that fitment would be looking for is this a selfish luminescence or a shared luminescence? Now either side can be selfish within the reading of the tea leaves, but in the end this is what empathy solves. ??
