Glorious Spectacle

As we approach Fall, the sun rises a little later, and my early morning walks with my dog require me to bring a flashlight. I have to watch out for all the frogs and geckos we have down here in Florida, and to watch out for any obstacles in our way.

This morning, one of the maintenance workers was staring up in the sky. He was looking at something specifically. Wally and I stopped and started looking up into the sky to see what he was seeing. He began to tell me that there was a rocket that launched this morning. His house faces directly to where it launched so he was able to see it emerge out of darkness and fly into the sky. The glow from the flames of the engines must have been spectacular to see in the dark background of the early morning sky.

Something to think about today is how bright is your light? Are your batteries fresh and brand new so that your light shines brightest? Many are walking in darkness in this world. Let your light shine as a glorious spectacle today to help lead others out of darkness, to let them know that someone cares for them.

Matthew 5:14-16 "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven."

No one cares for you more than Jesus. Look to Him to shine His light to make your path clear of any obstacles, so that you can find your way home!
