Global Warming - some thoughts
This topic seems to evoke a fair amount of controversy with strong opinions across the spectrum of convictions, each claiming a large amount of evidence to support their position. Individuals have made it their life ambition to enforce significant change to what has been the norm.
Without taking a stance for or against at this time, I would like to pose a question: are we trying to justify our prejudices and jumping on bandwagons, or are we prepared to consider other options that we can't point an accusatory finger at?
One thing that most people do agree on is that our weather patterns have changed and what was regular is now very often extreme. Our weather patterns are primarily influenced by the movement of air which is determined by differing pressure zones.
I hear and see very little about the influence of the permanent low-pressure zones created by ever-increasing urbanization and it's contribution to this issue. It is my suggestion that this is a primary cause of the changing weather patterns that are being blamed on global warming. Could this be because we cannot guilt-trip any specific group of individuals or companies to enforce a change or to push an agenda on this topic??
A rather crude observation: in the UK this winter with the reduced use of heating due to the excessive prices, a significant amount of snow has fallen this year. Maybe this is a red herring and there is not enough evidence for this, but rather peculiar.
Maybe this can provoke some constructive discussion without writing off myself or anyone else providing thought or comment. Keen to hear your constructive thoughts.
