Welcome to the weekly round-up of the business aviation world. This week, we've noticed an unexpected slowdown in high-summer bizjet demand in Europe while observing a contrasting upsurge in other global regions.
Global Overview
The global business jet and turboprop departures are down by 4% compared to July 2022, but are ahead by 13% when compared to 2019. Approximately 2 million business jet flights have been operated so far this year, indicating a slightly decreased pace of 5% compared to last year but a remarkable rise of 19% from 2019.
North America
The business jet activity in this region is maintaining a steady pace, being 6% below last year but 18% ahead of 2019. Cessna remains the busiest fleet this month despite a slight drop in activity compared to 2022.
Europe
This region has experienced a 10% decline in business jet activity compared to the last year over the past four weeks. Major markets including France, the UK, Germany, and Switzerland have all reported double-digit declines compared to July last year, with only Turkey and Croatia showing a surge in activity.
Asia
Asia's business jet activity has remained on par with last year and has shown a commendable 42% rise compared to 2019. China's departures have grown by 22% from last year, and Japan has experienced an impressive 46% rise, while Singapore reported an 11% decline.

Middle East
Business jet departures are slightly lagging 3% behind July last year, but they are a significant 37% ahead of 2019. Turkey leads the charge, with business jet departures 4% ahead of last year and a substantial 41% increase from 2019.
Africa and Oceania
Despite the lack of specific numbers in this week's report, Africa and Oceania continue to be key regions of interest in the global business aviation landscape. Africa's expanding economies and Oceania's vast geographic coverage present unique challenges and opportunities that continue to shape business jet trends in these areas.
In summary, we're witnessing a dynamic global landscape in the business
aviation sector, characterized by regional fluctuations and ongoing recovery
from the pandemic's effects. As always, we remain committed to providing you
with the latest and most comprehensive insights.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to monitor these exciting trends in the global sky.
