Global Transport Collaboration allows NTRO knowledge-sharing in China

NTRO is bringing home a wealth of new ideas, innovations, and cutting-edge technologies from its Global Transport Collaboration visit to China.

Among the highlights have been visits to an operational smart city and a key electric vehicle manufacturer, exploring port operation automation, AI-driven pavement crack assessment technology and infrastructure sustainability.

NTRO is excited to apply these fresh insights from its China trip to solve Australian and New Zealand transport challenges, ensuring our solutions are both modern and future-proof.

NTRO Chief Executive Officer Michael Caltabiano also had the opportunity to present a keynote at the 8th World Transport Convention in Qingdao, in which NTRO's vision and Australia and New Zealand's innovation, insight and transport research were shared with a large global audience.

NTRO experts Petar Davcev , Dr Clarissa Han , Dr Charles A. Karl , Emily McLean , and Dr Richard Yeo also presented at the event and throughout the GTC.

South Asian executives welcomed to Melbourne

NTRO was privileged to have a delegation of senior infrastructure executives from India, Pakistan, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives and Bangladesh spend a fortnight training with NTRO as part of an Australian Government-funded program.

The South Asia Regional Infrastructure Connectivity (SARIC) program is designed to deepen economic linkages between Australia and South Asia. The delegation undertook training in road asset management, made several field trips to discover more about Victoria's road network and transport infrastructure, met and networked with senior Australian transport executives at multiple functions, and also was given a special tour of the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
