Global Textile is committed for the long-term

As evidenced by the results of 2023, Uzbekistan leads in GDP growth among Central Asian countries, with the textile industry playing a pivotal role in the nation's development and prosperity. Large full-cycle enterprises, known as cotton-textile clusters, have emerged as industry drivers. These clusters, starting from cotton processing and yarn production, have swiftly expanded into fabric manufacturing and are now venturing into the ready-made products market by establishing garment manufacturing facilities.

Among these progressive enterprises stands Global Textile, a company we have previously introduced to our audience. We recently had a conversation with Rustam Vladimirovich Zufarov, Head of Quality Control and Standards Department, to discuss the realization of the Company’s plans, particularly the establishment of sewing production, over the past year and explore future prospects.

Rustam Vladimirovich, in our previous dialogue, you mentioned the forthcoming opening of the sewing facility. Has the project been launched?

Yes, we are delighted to announce the commencement of the garment manufacturing project! We have inaugurated a training center dedicated to this purpose, where we are providing training for sewing workers.

Could you elaborate on the role of the training center and its contribution to our business growth?

To facilitate the production of our own goods, we have divided the process into two stages. Firstly, the establishment of a training center aims to train staff in sewing simple samples and small batches of finished products, fostering the development of skilled professionals. Individualized training plans are devised, and each employee undergoes testing upon employment. They acquire proficiency in equipment usage, skill enhancement, and progressively tackle more complex tasks.

At the second stage, we are gearing up for the operation of garment production on 20 sewing lines. With stringent quality standards, it is imperative that our personnel possess the requisite skills and competencies to ensure the stability of production processes from the outset.

What are the long-term objectives and prospects envisioned for the training center?

The training center embodies our long-term strategy for company development. Functioning as a competency hub, it plays a pivotal role in cultivating a skilled and successful team. Primarily, it provides continuous training and development opportunities, enabling employees to master new skills and technologies essential for effective work. Furthermore, it advocates for innovative technologies and production methods, optimizing processes and boosting productivity. Additionally, it serves as a training ground for future manufacturing facilities, equipping us with a proficient workforce and laying the groundwork for business expansion.

The deployment of 20 lines is just the beginning. Our ambitions extend to the establishment of numerous factories, leveraging the experience gained in the initial phase. We are committed to scaling our production capacity and emerging as a frontrunner in the apparel industry, offering top-tier quality products. We are confident that our garment and knitwear production will set a benchmark for quality and excellence, with the training center playing a pivotal role in realizing this vision.

What distinguishes the technological processes of your sewing production?

Our garment and knitwear production thrive on the synergy fostered through effective collaboration with seasoned professionals from various countries, such as Turkey, India, Switzerland, and others. These industry specialists boast extensive experience in textile manufacturing, possessing expertise in every aspect of garment production. Engaged in continual process development and optimization, they integrate industry best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality products across all stages of production. Furthermore, they provide comprehensive staff training, focusing on the latest trends and requirements within the garment and knitwear industry, as well as the broader fashion sector.

?As I understand, your company is vertically integrated, meaning you have a cotton and textile cluster. Could you explain this concept and outline your competitive advantages?

A cotton and textile cluster refers to a consortium of enterprises, encompassing a geographic area of 80-100 km, operating under an ecosystem production model. This comprehensive framework covers all stages of production, starting from cotton cultivation and processing into fibers, to spinning, knitting, dyeing of fabrics, and culminating in the production of finished garments. Through the vertical integration of these processes, from raw materials to ready-made products, we ensure a consistently high standard of quality and stringent quality control at every production stage. This not only instills confidence in our partners regarding the origin and quality of our goods but also assures compliance with all necessary standards.
