Japan Rugby seeks sustainable future with UN framework
The Japan Rugby Football Union (JRFU) has joined the United Nations’ Sports for Climate Action Framework, becoming the first national rugby union in the world to sign up.?
GSS's Winter Workshop series began last week (October 17), with?Workshop 2 – Participation ?taking place today (October 24).
The weekly workshops will continue to run through to November 28, 2024, all based on Global Sustainable Sport's?7 Sustainable Pillars of Sport.
Next week's (October 31)?Workshop 3 – People ?will consist of two sessions. Session 1 of Workshop 3 will focus on The UCI Bike City Pathway – a roadmap to creating bike friendly cities based on the UCI Bike City Label, with input fromIsabella Burczak, Cycling for All & Sustainability Manager, Union Cycliste Internationale .
Session 2 of Workshop 3 will discuss developing sustainability and sport in Africa, with a talk from?Arnaud Sighano, Founding Member & General Coordinator, YALI Sports Africa, ?and?Divine Foretia, Founding Member, YALI Sports Africa .
Registration for the Winter Workshop Series ?is now open and is available to?GSS Network Alliance ?members.?
