The European Club Association (ECA) has highlighted football’s capacity to lead by example and inspire collective action to tackle climate change by establishing the Football Clubs Alliance for Climate.

GSS's Winter Workshop will?run through to November 28, 2024, all based on Global Sustainable Sport's?7 Sustainable Pillars of Sport.

Next week's (November 28)?Workshop 7 – Prosperity?will consist of two sessions. Session 1 of Workshop 7 is titled Circular Economy. It will featureJoanna Czutkowna, Director of 5THREAD?and?Simon Gresswell, Licensing, Merchandising and Retail Consultant, SGLP Ltd.

Session 2 of Workshop 7 will focus on the role of brands and sponsors with speakers to be announced in due course.

Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) has recently announced its full programmefor the sixth edition of the UCI Mobility & Bike City Forum.

Organised in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the UCI's annual event dedicated to cycling for all, and sustainability, will be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on 18 and 19 December 2024.

As part of the forum, UCI has announced a joint workshop with Global Sustainable Sport (GSS) on sport and sustainability, to take place on December 19.

Forum participants will also have the opportunity to attend the UCI Urban Cycling World Championships, which will take place from December 17-21 to maximise their experience on site.
